Okay, most of you know that the Gauntlet was postponed this year because some people were treating it like a joke and screaming at everything. So this year I tried something different.

When I went to the Annecy Animation Film Festival this year, I was blown away by the great animation that is being done today. This is not the animation of the past; this stuff is edgy, innovative and inventive. That’s why I came up with a new show to showcase films you won’t get to see anywhere else. These are film that wins awards at festivals and are nominated for Oscars. The New Generation Animation.

And Comic-con is where I wanted to premiere it. My instincts were right, the crowd went crazy, okay maybe not crazy but I got the best feedback that I had in years. This is the show that brings Spike and Mike into the 21st Century – but don’t you worry all you Sick and Twisted fans, there is always room for that show and we even gave a short taste of that on Friday night.
